There comes a moment in every guys life when he realizes that he should definitely stop watching these two shows: Desperate Housewives...and Gossip Girl. There also comes a time in THIS guys life when he realizes that he is the only guy (and probably person) who is still watching these shows...
This show just get me more and more upset every time I watch it. I am having trouble connecting with the characters and could care less about any of them. I am now on Season 3 and this is what I realized:
1.) They don't have real people problems. They are simply too rich and have to create drama because having a good education and money is just way too boring for them.
2.) There is some horrible parenting going on. The show's writers must all come from broken homes, because that is the only explanation for parents never knowing how to handle a situation like a normal adult.
3.) I keep forgetting they are in high school, and I think the writers and actors do too. I was so confused when they were talking about colleges, because I could have sworn they had already graduated and was running their own business. Which brings me to 4...
4.) THEY DON'T GO TO CLASS!!... Yet somehow all of them have straight As. (But it's not like that matters 'cause they all got into school because of the connections they had. ) I am also not quite sure when school exactly start. Everyone just seems to come when they want and sit on the steps never looking at any sort of clocks because time is also not a factor in the world of Gossip Girl.
5.) Uniforms?!? I'm sure they have some sort of dress code....I just don't know what it is. The guys always wear the same button down, blazer, and tie..but it seems like they just give each girl the fabric of plaid for that year and they get to do whatever they want with it. I just don't understand how the main girl (Serena) gets away with just wearing a tank top and a skinny tie. I feel like that can't be in the handbook.
6.) Every character has slept with every characters and everyone is somehow related. The characters in the show are not friends they are all just dating each other. Ew.
7.) The character Chuck Bass is the WORST! He has way to much time and money, he is a womanizer, a horrible dresser, and seems to be incapable of opening his eyes and talking above a whisper. It is like he is consistently in a library that is made out of the sun. I have to put subtitles on because he doesn't know how to talk like a normal person.
8.) I am jealous of all of them...
For some reason, as much as I want to, I can't quit this show. It LITERALLY gets me upset when I watch them create and solve drama. Because they take 5 episodes to resolve something that could have been solved in a good 5 min conversation.
I should really just stop watching it 'cause any show that refers to there lead guy as "a knight in shining Armani" is a show that should be excommunicated from the television.
